“This event was a big hit,” said Yolo County Librarian Patty Wong.  “People came out to support the library and create family memories, as well as invest in their community.”

The Classic Car and Truck Show included free family fun activities such as, visiting the 100 year old Yolo Branch Library, a “Cars” movie marathon, music, a low-rider bike show, an antique fire engine display from Yolo and Knights Landing, Friends of the Yolo Branch Library and Yolo county Integrated Waste Management information stations, and more.  Visitors were able to peruse the library’s collection of vintage car manuals and the Book Bike was on display.  Yolo Blacksmith provided shade trailers and participants could purchase Y.O.L.O. (You Only Live Once) t-shirts, plants, food and raffle tickets.

Raffle prizes were donated by businesses and individuals with all proceeds from this event going towards programs and services at the Yolo Branch Library which serves the communities of Yolo, Zamora, Dunnigan and surrounding areas.  A special thank you goes to the many volunteers who helped make this event a success, including Cache Creek High School, Zamora 4H Club, Yolo Fire Protection District and Yolo Market, along with dozens of other generous businesses.
